Bio-Inspired Petal-Shape UWB Antenna for indoor Applications

This paper presents a methodology for the development of the printed monopole antenna bio-inspired in orchidpetal-shape, generated by Gielis formula for indoor wireless applications, operation in 4G, 4.5G, and wireless local area networks bands. The monopole measured and simulated have greater results, as indication forLong Time Evolution Advanced Proof 3rd Generation Partnership Project, with measured bandwidth of 4.42 GHz, omnidirectional radiation pattern, maximum gain simulated of 5.43 dBi and half powerbeamwidth of 102°.
