Indicators for Smart Cities: bibliometric and systemic search

With the advent of the New Technologies of Information and Communication (ICTs) and the fast development of urban centers, a debate is arising on how to use ICTs for strengthening the development of the cities and make them ore intelligent, which the doctrine called smart cities. Considering this, this paper intends to search for the existence of studies analyzing the indicators of smart cities. The operationalization of this work focused on the biblioetric and systemic analysis. For that purpose, during the month of may 2016, it was undertaken a research in several databases, with the intent of locating papers on this subject, between the years 1990 and 2016. From the research done, it may be stated that the studies in this área are still beginning and, from that, it is foreseen an opportunity for the developent of new research.
