Desenvolvimento de um Oxímetro de baixo custo utilizando Arduino e Smartphone

In 2014, in Brazil, according to the Brazilian Society of Cardiology - SBC, it is estimated that about 340,000 people died due to heart complications. With this, it is evident the need to follow up this patients, mainly in the monitoring of the heart rate. The objective of this work is the construction of a system for the monitoring of the heart rate through the detection of blood flow present in the tip of the index finger.The prototype will count on the acquisition of the data obtained by the heart rate sensor, and through amplification of the signal with the equipment integrated circuits (IC) model LM358 it will be possible to capture the data of the heart beats. The data provided by the LM358 will be sent to the Arduino microcontroller and consequently shared with smartphone. The project will feature a mobile interface through the PhoneGAP platform, which will project the cardiac chart. Through the formed waves, it will be possible, by means of a mathematical calculation model, to obtain the patient's beats per minute (BPM). The theoretical reference used for the implementation of this equipment is contained in KAMAT (2002), where we further study the pulse oximeter.
